What is the DVD+R format?
The DVD+R is a non rewriteable format and it is compatible with most DVD players. The DVD+R format is created with MPEG2 Variable Bit Rate Compression with two channels of audio. We have the ability to place up to 120 minutes of programming on each disc.
Is the DVD+R format different from other DVDs you sell?
Yes. Customers who purchase titles in the DVD Library will receive a non-interactive, play only disc with a single button menu. There is no chaptering information on these DVDs, however, there are chapter marks that are set every 5 minutes, which makes it easy to fast forward through a program. The DVD+R format provides the digital video and audio quality which you expect from all of our DVDs.

Why did A&E Television and The History Channel create the DVD Library on the DVD+R format?
We receive many emails from customers that write, "I'm interested in owning a show on DVD but I only see it available on VHS. I don't buy VHS anymore. Do you sell it on DVD?" Customers have spoken and we have listened! As more and more people are interested in DVDs, we want to offer as much of our programming on DVD as we can. We chose the DVD+R format to sell our shows over other DVD formats due to its high digital video and audio capability and its compatibility with most DVD players.
The program I want is currently available only on video. How can I get it on DVD?
Please send us an email and tell us which show you would like to own on DVD. We can not guarantee that we will offer it on DVD, but we reference all customer emails when we make our decisions on what new titles should be in our upcoming releases. Will the DVD+R format play in my DVD player?
The DVD+R format will play in most DVD players. If you bought your DVD player after 1999, you are most likely able to play the DVD+R format. For more information on this, you can either look at the user manual for your DVD player or visit a DVD player test site. (We cannot guarantee the accuracy of the information of this test site, but it is a good information source for DVD players)
What if I buy a title from the DVD Library and it doesn't play on my DVD player?
Satisfaction is 100% guaranteed. We want you to be thrilled with your purchase, but if for any reason you are not completely satisfied, simply return it to us for a prompt exchange or full refund.
What is the return policy for the store?
